Dental Treatment in Dubai for European Patients
Dubai is a flight of roughly six to seven hours from most of Western Europe, with only a small time difference. This page explains how European patients plan treatment at Manhal Medical Center, and what to expect.

Short flight, small time difference
Direct flights connect Dubai with many European capitals and hubs, typically in around five to seven and a half hours depending on the city. Dubai is three hours ahead of Central European Time in winter and two hours ahead in summer, because the UAE does not use daylight saving time. That makes communication easy and jet lag minimal. It also means that a short review appointment can, when needed, fit into a long weekend rather than requiring a full week away from work.
Communication and language
Consultations at Manhal Medical Center are held in English, and Arabic is also spoken. If you are more comfortable in another language, consider bringing a companion who can help, or ask the clinic in advance what is possible. Send your concerns in writing with photographs and X-rays by email or WhatsApp to +971 52 987 2411. Written summaries are useful, because they let you read the proposed plan at your own pace and discuss it with your dentist at home before deciding.
Sending records from a European dentist
European dentists commonly provide panoramic X-rays and CBCT scans in digital formats. Ask for the full DICOM files for any CBCT, along with reports in English if available. Under the GDPR you have the right to request copies of your health records from your dentist. Once records reach Dubai, they are handled under UAE health data rules: the clinic uses them only for your care and shares them only with your consent. Ask how they are stored if this matters to you.
Trips and timing
Veneers and smile makeovers usually need one to three weeks in Dubai. Implants are staged over two trips, roughly three to six months apart. Orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign and MARPE with Consultant Orthodontist Dr. Moaiyad Pacha, runs for months and needs periodic reviews; because he divides his time between London and Dubai, some European patients find visits easier to plan. Ramadan, expected around February to March in 2027, may affect clinic hours. October to April is usually the most comfortable season.
Continuity with your dentist at home
Before you leave you receive written aftercare instructions, a treatment summary and copies of X-rays and scans. Tooth numbering uses the FDI system, which is standard across Europe, so your dentist can read the records directly. Implant records include manufacturer, system and component details. Many implant systems used in the UAE are also widely available in Europe, but confirm this with your dentist before treatment. With your consent, the clinic can send records straight to your dentist.
Fees, insurance and what is not included
Fees depend on the examination and are not published online; ask the clinic once your records have been reviewed, including accepted payment methods and currency. Public health systems and private dental insurers in Europe rarely reimburse elective treatment outside the EU, and rules differ by country, so check with your insurer before you travel. Manhal Medical Center does not arrange visas, flights, hotels or transfers. Check current entry requirements for your nationality through official sources.

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.this was my first visit to Dr Manhal after recomendation from my husband, i needed his consultation after i visited more than one doctor in Lebanon with no luck, i am glad i visited him, he is very professional the clinic is very clean with great staffAmazing service and very friendly team I'm very happy with my dental implant results with Dr.Manhal ❤️
