Dental Treatment While on Holiday in Dubai
Some visitors need a dentist unexpectedly; others want to fit planned treatment into a holiday. This page covers both situations at Manhal Medical Center in Dubai.

Dental emergencies while visiting
Toothache, a cracked tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling or a knocked tooth can all happen on holiday. Call the clinic on +971 4 328 4560 or send a WhatsApp message to +971 52 987 2411 describing the problem, ideally with a photograph. The aim of an emergency visit is to relieve pain, control infection and stabilise the tooth so you can travel home comfortably. Larger treatment can then be planned with your own dentist or on a future visit.
Travel insurance and emergency care
Many travel insurance policies include some emergency dental cover for pain relief while abroad, although limits are often modest and planned or cosmetic treatment is excluded. Check your policy, keep receipts and ask the clinic for an itemised invoice and a short report for your insurer. Note whether your insurer requires you to call them before treatment. For severe facial swelling or difficulty swallowing or breathing, go straight to a hospital emergency department rather than a dental clinic.
Fitting planned treatment into a holiday
Whitening, a check-up and cleaning, or a few composite bonding repairs fit easily into a holiday. Veneers can work if you have one to three weeks and keep the key days quiet. Implants and orthodontics should not be started on impulse during a holiday, because they need follow-up over months. If you are thinking about treatment, contact the clinic before you travel so that records can be reviewed and appointments booked around your plans.
Planning around beaches, desert trips and heat
After extractions or surgery, avoid swimming, saunas, strenuous exercise and dune bashing for a few days, and stay out of the midday heat, which increases dehydration and swelling. After whitening, avoid strongly coloured drinks and foods for a day or two. After laser skin treatment, strict sun protection matters in Dubai's strong sunlight. Schedule treatment towards the start of your stay, so there is time for a review appointment before your flight home.
Families travelling together
If someone in your family develops toothache or has a dental injury while visiting, contact the clinic to check availability and which dentist can see them; ask in advance whether the clinic sees children of that age. Dr. Fariba Alnoory, a general dentist with more than 14 years of experience, sees patients for check-ups and general dental care. A knocked-out adult tooth is time-critical: hold it by the crown, keep it moist in milk and seek care immediately.
Ramadan, public holidays and opening hours
Clinic hours can change during Ramadan, Eid and UAE public holidays. If you are visiting during these periods, check timings before you need them. During Ramadan, visitors are asked to be considerate about eating and drinking in public during daylight hours, although many venues continue to serve non-fasting guests; this can matter if you are on a soft-food diet after treatment. The clinic is at Office 101, SMJ1 Building, Street 22A, Al Safa 1, Dubai.

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.this was my first visit to Dr Manhal after recomendation from my husband, i needed his consultation after i visited more than one doctor in Lebanon with no luck, i am glad i visited him, he is very professional the clinic is very clean with great staffAmazing service and very friendly team I'm very happy with my dental implant results with Dr.Manhal ❤️
