Results depend on the cause. If smoking or sun continues, pigment can return, and we will say so honestly before you book a course.
Results, aftercare and keeping lips bright
Lips often look softer and more hydrated within days. Changes in tone build gradually over the course, and photos make them easier to judge. Natural lip pigment can be softened but not removed, and darkness from smoking or sun returns if the cause continues.
- Expect mild swelling or small bumps for one to two days; avoid very hot drinks and lipstick for about 24 hours.
- Use a lip balm with SPF every day, and reapply outdoors.
- Avoid licking or picking your lips, and stop any product that stings or itches.
- If you have cold sores, tell the team; preventive treatment may be advised.
- Cutting down or stopping smoking makes the biggest long-term difference.
