Dubai Treatment Trip Planner for UK Patients

A good trip plan leaves room for healing, rest and the unexpected. Use this page to think through timings before you book flights to Dubai for treatment at Manhal Medical Center.

Dubai Treatment Trip Planner for UK Patients

Choosing when to travel

October to April is the most popular time for UK patients: daytime temperatures are typically in the mid-20s to around 30°C, compared with summer highs above 40°C. School holidays push up flight demand, so travelling outside them can be easier. Ramadan moves about eleven days earlier each year and is expected to fall around February and March in 2027; clinic hours may change during the month and over the Eid holiday that follows. Check dates with the clinic before fixing appointments.

How many days to book

As a rough guide: two to four days for a check-up, hygiene visit and whitening; one to three weeks for veneers; two to three weeks for a full-smile makeover; around five to seven days for each of the two implant trips; and a few days for an orthodontic or dermatology consultation. Add a rest day after an overnight flight. Your provisional plan from Manhal Medical Center will refine these estimates, and it is sensible to book only once you have it.

Sample schedule: veneers in about two weeks

Day 1: arrival and rest. Day 2: examination, photographs, scan and smile design discussion. Day 3: trial mock-up and any whitening or gum treatment. Day 4 or 5: preparation and temporaries. Days 6 to 10: laboratory period, which is free time with some care over food. Day 11 or 12: try-in and fitting. Day 13 or 14: review and fine adjustments, then the flight home. Every case differs, so treat this as an illustration rather than a fixed plan.

Sample schedule: implants across two trips

Trip one, about a week: arrival and rest, examination and CBCT scan, implant placement, two or three quiet days of soft food and recovery, then a review before flying. Healing at home for roughly three to six months, with photo check-ins by WhatsApp if needed. Trip two, about a week: implant check, digital scan or impression, laboratory time, fitting of the crown or bridge and a final review. Sinus lifts or bone grafts can change this timing, and your surgeon will explain how.

Flights, time zones and arrival

Direct flights from London take about seven hours, and there are direct routes from several other UK cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow. Dubai is four hours ahead during the UK winter and three hours ahead during British Summer Time. Daytime flights from the UK land in the evening; overnight flights land early in the morning. The clinic is in central Dubai, a short drive from Jumeirah, City Walk and Downtown Dubai. We do not arrange flights, hotels or transfers.

Before you go: a checklist

Confirm your provisional plan and appointment dates in writing. Check passport validity and current entry rules through official sources. Arrange travel insurance and read what it says about pre-planned treatment, which many policies exclude. Pack a list of medicines, your X-rays or scans and comfortable clothes. Let your bank know you are travelling, and ask the clinic in advance about fees and payment methods. Keep a day or two of slack at the end of the trip in case an adjustment is needed.

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.
