Aftercare in the US After Treatment in Dubai
Once you are back in the US, your local dentist and Manhal Medical Center share the follow-up. This page explains how that works and what to do if something does not feel right.

What you take home
You leave Dubai with written aftercare instructions, a treatment summary, and copies of X-rays, scans and photographs. Implant records include the manufacturer, system, sizes and component details, while veneer and crown records list materials and shades. Tooth positions are given in the international FDI system, with descriptions in words; your US dentist uses Universal numbering, so a quick conversion avoids confusion. Store digital copies somewhere you can reach easily, such as your email, and keep a printed set with your health papers.
Remote check-ins across time zones
If you have questions in the weeks after treatment, send clear photographs and a description to Manhal Medical Center by WhatsApp at +971 52 987 2411 or by email. Dubai is eight to twelve hours ahead of the continental US, so messages sent in your afternoon or evening arrive overnight in Dubai and are usually seen the next working day. For anything time-sensitive, seek local care first rather than waiting for a reply, then update the clinic once you have been seen.
Your US dentist's role
Book a check-up with your US dentist a few weeks after you return. They can examine the gums, clean around new restorations or implants, and take X-rays to monitor healing. Many US dentists are used to seeing work done elsewhere, and clear records make the visit straightforward. With your written consent, the clinic can share records directly with your dentist. Keep in mind that your US dentist is responsible for their own clinical decisions, and their advice may sometimes differ.
Urgent symptoms
Call your local dentist, an urgent care centre or emergency services for spreading facial swelling, fever, trouble swallowing or breathing, bleeding that will not stop with pressure, or numbness that is getting worse. After a long flight, sudden leg swelling, chest pain or breathlessness need immediate medical attention, as long journeys raise the risk of blood clots. After filler treatment, skin colour changes or vision problems are an emergency. Tell the clinic afterwards so your Dubai records stay complete.
Long-term care and repairs
Keep up regular cleanings, floss or use interdental brushes, and wear a night guard if advised. Retainers after orthodontic treatment need to be worn exactly as instructed. If a veneer chips or an implant crown loosens, contact the clinic with photographs: some issues can be handled locally using your records, while others may be addressed on a planned return visit. Ask before treatment what would happen if a restoration needs attention later, so expectations on both sides are clear from the start.
Planning a return visit
Implant patients return for the final restoration, and some patients choose to combine a later review or touch-up with another trip to Dubai. Give the clinic plenty of notice, as appointments and laboratory work are scheduled around your dates. If you are seeing Consultant Orthodontist Dr. Moaiyad Pacha, ask whether a review could be arranged in London if that suits your route, where his schedule allows. Coordinate with your US dentist so that local care and Dubai care stay aligned.

- We do not arrange visas, flights, hotels or airport transfers
- A final treatment plan always depends on the in-person examination

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.this was my first visit to Dr Manhal after recomendation from my husband, i needed his consultation after i visited more than one doctor in Lebanon with no luck, i am glad i visited him, he is very professional the clinic is very clean with great staffAmazing service and very friendly team I'm very happy with my dental implant results with Dr.Manhal ❤️
