Which grafting procedure do you need?

Socket preservation
Graft placed in the socket on the day a tooth is removed, to limit bone and gum shrinkage and keep the site ready for an implant a few months later.
Ridge augmentation (GBR, block, split)

Lateral sinus lift

Graft materials explained without the jargon
There are four main groups of graft material, each with a purpose:
- Autograft — your own bone. Heals very well but needs a second small site.
- Allograft — processed, screened human donor bone.

Does it hurt?
The area is fully numbed with local anaesthetic, so you feel pressure, not pain. Soreness and swelling for a few days are common and managed with prescribed pain relief. Is it safe?
