Cosmetic and specialist care for Downtown residents

Downtown is about appearance in the best sense — people here care how their smile and skin look, and they expect it done well and discreetly. The questions we hear most from Downtown residents are about veneers and whitening, straightening teeth without obvious braces, and subtle Botox or filler that nobody can quite put a finger on.

Getting there means leaving the busiest part of the city rather than heading into it: a short run along Sheikh Zayed Road and you are in the residential streets of Al Safa 1.

Getting to Manhal from Downtown Dubai

From Downtown, join Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) heading towards Abu Dhabi and leave at the exits for Al Safa, then continue into Al Safa 1 between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Wasl Road. From the northern end near DIFC, Financial Centre Road feeds onto Sheikh Zayed Road; from the Business Bay side, crossing Sheikh Zayed Road directly can be quicker. Al Khail Road (E44) is the fallback when Sheikh Zayed Road is heavy.

Search "Manhal Medical Center"; on a first visit, call +971 4 328 4560 for help with the entrance.

When traffic is usually lighter

The roads around the Boulevard and the malls are busiest on weekend evenings and during events. Weekday late mornings and early afternoons are usually calmer, and Saturday from 10:00 is a good time for longer cosmetic consultations.

Questions patients ask

Patients visit us from Al Safa, Al Wasl, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, Al Quoz, City Walk, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai and Al Barsha — and from Sharjah and the wider UAE.

What is the route from Downtown Dubai?

Join Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi and leave at the Al Safa exits, then continue into Al Safa 1. Al Khail Road is the alternative when Sheikh Zayed Road is congested. Check a live map app on the day.

Are veneers right for me, or is whitening enough?

If your teeth are healthy and the main concern is colour, whitening may be enough. Veneers suit chips, shape or spacing issues that whitening cannot change. The dentist explains both after a check-up, in a written plan.

Who places veneers and implants?

Veneers and implant crowns are planned with Dr. Manhal Helfawee, Founder, Medical Director and Consultant Implantologist, who has more than 20 years of practice in the UAE.

Will people notice I have had Botox?

The aim at Manhal is a rested, natural look. Dr. Abdullah Anis uses conservative doses and reviews you after a couple of weeks, when a small top-up can be added if needed.

Can you help if I had filler elsewhere and I'm unhappy?

Yes. Dr. Abdullah Anis assesses filler complications and, where appropriate, can dissolve hyaluronic acid filler. Tell us when you book, and seek urgent care for sudden pain, blanching or vision changes after filler.

Is Invisalign suitable for adults?

Many adults are suitable for clear aligners. Dr. Moaiyad Pacha assesses your bite and may also discuss options such as braces or MARPE if aligners alone would not achieve a stable result.

What causes hair loss, and can it be treated?

Common causes include genetics, stress, illness, iron or thyroid problems. Dr. Abdullah Anis diagnoses the cause first, then recommends medical treatment, PRP or other options that suit you.

When are you open?

We are open daily 11:00–20:00 and from 10:00 on Saturday. Consultations are in English and Arabic, and you receive a written plan with the price before treatment.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Fariba. She is an amazing dentist—very professional, gentle, and caring. She took the time to explain every step of the treatment and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the procedure. Her clinic is clean, modern, and welcoming, and her staff are always friendly and helpful. I'm very happy with the results and truly appreciate her attention to detail. I highly recommend Dr. Fariba to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.
