Facial balancing in Dubai — chin, nose, lips and jaw planned together

Many people focus on a single feature, such as thin lips or a bump on the nose, without realising that the way it looks depends on its neighbours. A slightly short chin can make the nose look bigger, and a weak jawline can make the lower face look heavier. Facial balancing looks at these relationships together.

Facial balancing in Dubai — Manhal Medical Center, Dubai
Quick answer

Facial balancing in Dubai uses carefully planned filler in areas such as the chin, nose, lips and jawline to improve the harmony of your profile, rather than treating one feature in isolation. At Manhal Medical Center in Dubai, Dr. Abdullah Anis begins with a full facial assessment from the front and side, then designs a staged plan that respects your natural features.

Key facts

  • Plans the profile as one, not feature by feature
  • Chin projection often changes how the nose looks
  • Treatment is staged and conservative
  • Hyaluronic acid filler allows adjustment
  • Specialist assessment and complication readiness

What facial balancing means

Facial balancing is an approach rather than a single treatment. Instead of asking “what is wrong with my lips?”, it asks how the forehead, nose, lips, chin and jawline relate to one another in profile and from the front. Small changes in one area can change how another is perceived. For example, adding modest projection to a recessed chin can make the nose appear smaller and the lips more balanced, without touching the nose at all. The goal is harmony and proportion that suit your face, ethnicity and gender characteristics, not a template face copied from social media or another person.

The consultation and facial analysis

Dr. Abdullah Anis starts by listening to what bothers you and what you want to keep. He then examines your face at rest and in motion, from the front, three-quarter and side views, and assesses proportions, symmetry, skin quality and underlying structure. Photographs help you see your profile as others do. He will explain which areas are likely to make the biggest difference and which are better left alone. Sometimes the honest advice is that a feature is already in good proportion, or that a surgical or orthodontic opinion would serve you better. You leave with a clear plan and order of treatment.

Chin, jawline, nose and lips

Chin filler can add forward projection or length and is often central to profile balancing. Jawline filler can define the angle and border of the jaw, which can make the lower face look more structured. Nose filler can smooth small bumps or dips when appropriate, and lip filler adds subtle shape, hydration or volume in proportion to the chin and nose. Not every patient needs every area. Treatment is often staged over more than one visit, starting with the structural areas that make the greatest difference. Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally chosen so results can be adjusted or dissolved if needed.

Keeping results natural

Overdone results usually come from treating features separately and adding a little more each time. A balanced plan uses conservative amounts, reviews the result once swelling settles and focuses on proportion rather than volume. Lips are kept in harmony with the chin and nose, jaw definition is matched to your face shape, and the aim is that people notice you look well, not that you have had filler. Regular reassessment matters because faces change with age and weight. If you have had previous filler that now feels heavy or uneven, Dr. Abdullah Anis can advise whether dissolving some of it should come first.

Safety, downtime and red flags

Facial balancing usually involves several injection sites, so swelling and bruising are common for a few days, and the nose and chin areas need particular care because of important blood vessels. Choose a DHA-licensed doctor with a clear understanding of facial anatomy and experience managing complications. Seek urgent care if you notice severe pain, skin turning pale, blue or mottled, or any change in vision after treatment. At Manhal Medical Center, Dr. Abdullah Anis is a specialist dermatologist with over 25 years of experience, including treating filler complications, and hyaluronidase is available. A written plan explains each step before you decide.

Hyaluronic acid fillers restore lost volume and refine contours. Safe results depend on facial anatomy knowledge, product choice and conservative technique — the same expertise used to manage filler complications.

Questions patients ask

Patients visit us from Al Safa, Al Wasl, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, Al Quoz, City Walk, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai and Al Barsha — and from Sharjah and the wider UAE.

How is facial balancing different from lip or chin filler?

It plans several features together based on your proportions, so each treated area supports the others rather than being considered alone.

Will I need all areas treated?

No. Many people only need one or two areas once the face is assessed as a whole.

How many sessions does facial balancing take?

It is often staged over two or more visits, starting with the areas that make the greatest difference.

Can facial balancing replace surgery?

It can create noticeable harmony for many people, but it cannot reproduce surgical changes such as reducing nose size or moving the jaw.

How long do results last?

Hyaluronic acid filler results are temporary and vary by area and product, so maintenance is planned over time.

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.
