CO2 laser cost in Dubai — how area, depth and sessions shape your plan

Fractional CO2 laser is used for acne scars, other scars, textural irregularities, enlarged pores and signs of skin ageing. Because the same device can be used very differently on a small scar or a full face, comparing a single “session price” rarely tells you what your full course will involve.

CO2 laser cost in Dubai — Manhal Medical Center, Dubai
Quick answer

The cost of fractional CO2 laser in Dubai depends on the size of the area treated, the depth and intensity needed for your concern, the number of sessions and any preparation or aftercare. At Manhal Medical Center in Dubai, Dr. Abdullah Anis examines your skin, explains what CO2 laser can and cannot achieve, and gives you a written, itemised plan before treatment.

Key facts

  • Cost depends on area, depth and sessions
  • Deeper settings mean more downtime
  • Most concerns need a course of sessions
  • Preparation and aftercare may be needed
  • Written itemised plan after examination

Treatment area and size

The area treated is one of the clearest cost factors. A single surgical scar or a small patch of acne scarring takes less time and fewer resources than the full face, neck or chest. Some patients want the whole face treated evenly, while others only need focused work on the cheeks or around the mouth. Areas such as the neck and chest have thinner skin and need gentler, more cautious settings. During your consultation, Dr. Abdullah Anis maps exactly which areas will be treated and why, and these appear as separate lines in your written plan so you understand what you are agreeing to.

Depth, intensity and downtime

Fractional CO2 settings can be adjusted from lighter resurfacing to deeper treatment for more marked scarring. Deeper and denser settings may give more change per session but bring more redness, swelling and peeling, and a higher need for careful aftercare, especially in darker skin types where post-inflammatory pigmentation is a concern. Lighter settings usually mean shorter downtime but often more sessions. The right balance depends on your skin type, concern, lifestyle and how much social downtime you can accept. This choice affects how many sessions your plan includes, so it is decided only after a proper dermatology assessment rather than chosen from a menu.

Number of sessions

Most people need a course rather than one treatment. Acne scars, surgical scars and deeper textural problems often require several sessions spaced several weeks apart to allow full healing and collagen remodelling between them. Fine texture and pore concerns may need fewer. Dr. Abdullah Anis will give you a realistic range based on your examination and explain when progress is usually assessed. Because collagen remodelling continues for months after each session, improvement is gradual. Your written plan lists the proposed number of sessions, so you can see the full course rather than discovering additional sessions later.

Preparation, combination treatments and aftercare

Some skins benefit from preparation before laser, such as pigment-control products for melasma-prone or darker skin, or treating active acne first. Cold sore history may require preventive medication. Certain scars respond better when laser is combined with other treatments, for example subcision-type techniques, injections for raised scars or chemical peels, and these are planned together. After treatment you will need gentle cleansers, barrier-repair moisturisers and strict sun protection. The written plan states clearly which of these steps are recommended, so you can see the real cost of the whole course and not only the laser session itself.

Choosing a CO2 laser provider in Dubai

Fractional CO2 laser is a powerful medical treatment, and safety depends on correct patient selection, settings and aftercare. Before booking, check that the practitioner is DHA-licensed on the Sheryan system, ask who will actually perform your treatment, and make sure you receive a written plan with realistic expectations. At Manhal Medical Center, treatment is planned by Dr. Abdullah Anis, a specialist dermatologist with more than 25 years of experience and dermatopathology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London. The clinic does not publish fixed prices; instead, you receive an individual, itemised plan after examination.

The CO2 laser is used two ways: fractional resurfacing, which creates microscopic treatment zones that stimulate collagen for scars and texture; and ablative removal of benign growths such as warts and some skin tags.

Like many people, I don't enjoy the dentist. For many years I avoided visits out of fear. I found Manhal 15 years ago, and he is a wonderful dentist. Calming presence. Excellent implantology as well as other dental work. I have recommended him personally to many friends, and will continue to do so. I just hope he doesn't ever retire. When I have been overseas with dental problems, I have flown back to Dubai specifically to see him. Could not imagine ever going to another dentist.
